For the first time since 2021, the Cleveland Browns had a first round pick in the NFL draft. In addition to making their first selection fifth overall, they made six other picks throughout the course of the night. With the Browns hoping to bounce back after a 3-14 season, there is a real chance for many young players to contribute this year.

Of Cleveland’s seven 2025 draft picks, which player has the best chance of having a standout season?

The obvious answer is first-round pick Mason Graham. Any defensive lineman who joins the Browns is put in a position to succeed simply because they are playing alongside Myles Garrett. Garrett commands the attention of every offensive line and will regularly be doubled and chipped by his opponents. His mere presence opens up opportunities for other linemen to produce and perform at a high level. Beyond the sheer opportunity that Graham will have, the raw talent is there. His strength, quickness, and high football IQ will allow him to beat blockers and have success early on with this defense.

On the offensive side of the ball, tight end Harold Fannin Jr. could be a big contributor. It appears that Kevin Stefanski will be returning to his roots and installing an offense that looks a lot more like it did before the Deshaun Watson era in Cleveland. It is expected that the Browns will use multiple tight end sets fairly often. David Njoku will be a massive part of their game plan, but there is room for Fannin Jr. to be targeted a great deal. He’s a skilled route runner and will generate yards after catch on a consistent basis – the opportunity will be there for him to produce.
