According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former Alabama Crimson Tide running back Jase McClellan has reportedly signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent.

McClellan, a former sixth round pick from the 2024 NFL draft, was previously released by another NFC South team, the Atlanta Falcons, earlier this offseason.

With the Falcons, McClellan saw action in only two games as a rookie with Atlanta, rushing for 32 yards on 13 total attempts.

While at Alabama, McClellan saw action in four seasons from 2020-23, rushing for a combined 1,981 yards and 18 touchdowns on 355 attempts. A one-time national champion, McClellan also had 40 receptions for 409 yards and six touchdowns.

McClellan now joins outside linebacker Chris Braswell as the lone former Alabama player currently playing in Tampa Bay.
