On Monday, the Ravens released eight-time All-Pro K Justin Tucker — proving what Steelers fans already knew: that Chris Boswell is the best kicker in the NFL today.
The 35-year-old Tucker experienced one of the worst seasons of his career in 2024 — making a career-low 73.3% of his kicks, while Boswell was on the brink of breaking the single-season field goal record with 41 FGM.

Boswell’s career field goal percentage sits at 88%, inching ever closer to Tucker’s NFL career-record of 89.1% — a mere 1.1% gap that the Wizard of Boz can easily overcome in 2025.
Boswell and Browns K Dustin Hopkins are now tied as the AFC North’s longest-tenured kickers, each with 10 seasons of experience — a title Tucker held before his release ended a 13-year run with the Ravens.
It remains to be seen if any team will take a chance on Tucker heading into 2025, but Boswell will look to make the most of the former Raven’s absence from the NFL — to cement his legacy as arguably the greatest kicker of all time.
