While former Notre Dame offensive lineman Zeke Correll didn’t finish his career in South Bend, it’s hard to say that he’s a NC State product after playing there for just his graduate season.

The Minnesota Vikings opted to sign him as an undrafted free agent, and it looked like he had a solid chance to make the roster. Unfortunately, Correll fractured his ankle on Saturday, and got waived on Tuesday, adding insult to injury.

He went to social media to update everyone on his status, with surgery on deck which will prevent him from making his NFL debut for at least another year. Correll was clearly disappointed with this injury, but we know that he is going to do everything in his power to make a quick return to the field, albeit with another team.

Hopefully Correll is able to make a full recovery and live out his NFL dreams, as many are rooting for the former Irish offensive lineman to do so.
