Membou created rushing lanes in the ground game. The former Missouri standout played a clean contest, avoiding being whistled for a penalty. In pass protection, Membou allowed zero sacks or pressures, according to Next Gen Stats.

Pro Football Focus awarded Membou a pass-blocking grade of 77.9. The only Jets starters who scored better in pass protection were Alijah Vera-Tucker (79.2) and Joe Tippmann (79.2). The Jets had an effective game in protection, as none of their three quarterbacks were sacked.

Membou’s debut made him look worthy of the No. 7 overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft. The Jets expect their top-10 pick to be an instant upgrade in the starting lineup at right tackle. Membou’s performance in Week 1 of the preseason was incredibly encouraging.
