Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has only exemplified resilience despite many shortcomings in his NFL coaching career. Thankfully, Harbaugh’s disposition has helped quarterback Lamar Jackson adapt the same poise, fostering optimism in the team locker room in the face of media criticism and postseason adversity.

Harbaugh transitioned from being in hot water roughly several seasons ago, to reincarnating, handing the franchise to Jackson, and watching his quarterback do valiantly on the offensive side of the ball. Harbaugh has seen players come and go, but now he’s built a regimented force with defensive back Marlon Humphrey, safety Kyle Hamilton, outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy, linebacker Roquan Smith, young defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike, and, of course, his franchise quarterback in Jackson.

From speaking life inside the team locker to deferring to his vocal leaders when the time calls for it, Harbaugh’s unshakeable aura has only brought camaraderie to his club. Jackson has followed suit, unwilling to slander teammate tight-end Mark Andrews after the postseason debacle on Jan 19. Rather, both Harbaugh and Jackson are prepared to look forward into what’s ahead of them and not behind.

The Ravens’ roster is stacked with talent on both sides of the football heading into the 2025 NFL season. Yet, with so many new faces and personalities, it will be important for Harbaugh to establish his presence. The newcomers, including wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, need to know what it truly means to be a part of the franchise. The Ravens are a team built on togetherness. Whether the team rises or falls, team general manager Eric DeCosta won’t have to worry about drama or chaos disrupting the harmony that exists in the team locker room.
