The Carolina Panthers released their second unofficial depth chart of the summer on Tuesday evening. And if you remember the first one from last week, well, not much has changed.
Here are all of the current ranks as we head towards the team’s second preseason game . . .

The lone change sits at the defensive line, where Wharton has been shifted from a second-string defensive end to the first-string defensive tackle. That move came at the expense of his fellow free-agent signee in Brown, who went from the top defensive tackle to a backup end.
As for what’s recently been solidified, the center competition came to an end on Monday—courtesy of head coach Dave Canales. Canales told reporters that Austin Corbett, who started the first five games of 2024 at center prior to a season-ending biceps tear, has won the job over Cade Mays.
Some notable battles that are still ongoing include the No. 2 safety race between Scott, Richardson and Ransom and the kicking competition between veteran journeyman Matthew Wright and undrafted rookie Ryan Fitzgerald.
