Last year, the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles battled in Brazil. The fans were treated to an epic performance from Saquon Barkley, who had 109 rushing yards, 23 receiving yards and three total touchdowns in a 34-29 victory. While we’re not sure if this year’s Brazil game will be as exciting, there’ll be a huge spotlight on the quarterbacks. It seems like Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes always deliver when they’re on the field together.

Although the Chargers and Chiefs won’t kick off until Sept. 5, the NFL has already announced who’ll perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” in São Paulo.

American composer and jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington will have the honor of performing the U.S. national anthem. So far, the early responses to this announcement from the NFL have been overwhelmingly positive.

“Looking forward to it,” a second fan wrote on X.

“Should be a great show,” another fan commented.

The NFL has also announced that Colombian singer Karol G will headline the halftime show in Brazil.

Karol G, 34, already has a few Billboard Music Awards and a Grammy Award on her résumé.

Suffice to say, the Chargers-Chiefs game on Sept. 5 will be must-see TV. However, it’ll be exclusively on YouTube.
