OXNARD, Calif. — The second preseason game Saturday against Baltimore will mark the debut of right guard Tyler Booker, the Cowboys’ first-round pick. There’s also an expectation left tackle Nate Thomas will play more than 10 snaps against the Ravens. That was his number in the preseason opener last week against the Rams.
Joe Milton will start at quarterback with Will Grier relieving him in case of injury.
“You never know,” Schottenheimer said of Grier. “He’ll always have a cigarette in his hand.”
Grier entered the first preseason game late in the fourth quarter when Milton left with a bruised elbow.
