The Atlanta Falcons added a former top-10 pick to their 90-man roster on Thursday afternoon, signing cornerback C.J. Henderson and waiving injured offensive lineman Tyrone Wheatley Jr. The move comes one day before the team’s preseason matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
Henderson was originally selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the ninth overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Less than two years into his NFL career, the former Florida Gators star was traded to the Carolina Panthers. Despite missing all of the 2024 season due to a neck injury, Henderson brings a wealth of experience to Atlanta.
