Beyoncé may be a couple of months removed from her July 25-26 tour dates at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, but the concerts are already being talked about. Much of that is thanks to Sphere CEO and chairman James Dolan.

Beyoncé recently started her tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, where she showed a video of her walking across the Las Vegas Strip and grabbing the Sphere.

The problem is that she has chosen to play her Las Vegas concerts at Allegiant Stadium instead of the Sphere. This led to Dolan sending her team a cease-and-desist letter asking them to remove the scene.

She complied, and the video now features her picking up Allegiant Stadium. Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis, who also owns Allegiant Stadium, was asked about the changes. He’s happy that the pop icon is playing at Allegiant Stadium and took a playful shot at Dolan.

“I’m certainly not going to send Beyoncé a cease-and-desist,” Davis told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “In fact, if she can throw the ball …”

It’s clear that Davis always has football on the mind, but he’s likely just happy that Allegiant Stadium was able to land Beyoncé. She’s one of the most famous people on the face of the planet, so she’ll be able to play wherever she wants.

It’s unclear if there’s any rivalry brewing between Dolan and Davis. The former owns the New York Knicks of the NBA and the New York Liberty of the WNBA. Davis is also in WNBA ownership, so it’s likely that the two have crossed paths a number of times.
