Last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars played every healthy player they had against the Pittsburgh Steelers, while the Steelers benched all of their top players. This week will be more of the same as Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles announced all of his players would be in action on Saturday aside from linebacker Lavonte David and wide receiver Mike Evans.
Meanwhile, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced on Thursday that the Steelers would once again bench the bulk of their top players and go in with almost all reserves at the team’s most important positions. This includes quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers did not play in the first preseason game.

Rodgers signed with the Steelers just days before the start of mandatory team activities so not playing him in the preseason is a risky move given how many new players Pittsburgh has on offense.
In addition to Rodgers, the Steelers will be without more than a dozen starters between the offense and defense, including T.J. Watt, Jalen Ramsey, Jaylen Warren and Pat Freiermuth.
