Wearing the green dot as the on-field signal caller, Paul picked up right from where he left off when he held that role at Ole Miss with his poise, command and communication. Defensive coordinator Chris Shula will call the defense this week after inside linebackers coach Greg Williams did it last week, so it remains to be seen whether Paul will once again wear the green dot or if the coaching staff will let someone else gain experience with it, but he’s still a player to watch closely in the middle of the defense regardless.
