A former Denver Broncos running back has found a new NFL home.

Mike Boone, who played for the Broncos from 2021-2022, landed with the Miami Dolphins. The 30-year-old running back signed with Denver as a free agent in 2021 and totaled 255 yards from scrimmage in 17 games over two seasons.

Elsewhere on the ex-Broncos front, running back Royce Freeman, who was drafted by Denver in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft out of Oregon, worked out for Miami before the Dolphins opted to sign Boone. Freeman totaled 1,596 yards from scrimmage and scored nine touchdowns in three years (46 games) with the Broncos.

Additionally, the Jacksonville Jaguars released cornerback Levi Wallace from injured reserve with a settlement, the Detroit Lions signed offensive lineman Zack Johnson, pass rusher Ronnie Perkins worked out for the Indianapolis Colts, the Washington Commanders signed wide receiver River Cracraft (and worked out offensive tackle Cam Fleming) and the Buffalo Bills designated wide receiver Jalen Virgil and edge defender Justin Hollins as waived/injured.
