(KTXL) – The San Francisco 49ers are in Las Vegas right now, getting ready to play a game on Saturday against the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.

It is a big rivalry, even if it is just a preseason game. But this year’s matchup will not include tight end Ross Dwelley, who was released by the 49ers on Friday afternoon.

Dwelley, a former standout at Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, spent last season with the Atlanta Falcons. Before that, however, he was a 49er for the previous six seasons.

He has 523 receiving yards and five touchdowns in his NFL career.
