The Kansas City Chiefs continue to experiment with their offensive line during the preseason, even through a road loss on Friday night to the Seattle Seahawks.
Chiefs offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia addressed the media after the game, sharing his thoughts on his performance and goals to improve before the start of the season.

“I’ve still got stuff to improve on. I’m just starting to get the feel of that guard stuff. Overall, just glad to be out there, give my 110 percent every time I’m out there,” said Suamataia, “Second preseason game next to a tackle. Just getting our chemistry together and getting out there so we can be on the same page.”
Suamataia had moments of difficulty in pass protection while excelling in the run game during Friday’s loss. He described how important it is to be able to do both run blocking and pass blocking.
“It’s very important, especially pass. We have a passing quarterback. With that responsibility on your back to block the guy in front of you so he can make big plays is very important,” said Suamataia, and he detailed his objective to accomplish during the preseason due to his lack of experience at the guard position. “Just getting 10 percent better every day, man. Yeah, it’s a new position, but shoot, we ball. Just going out there, playing with the boys, just getting better every day.”
Suamataia will continue to work alongside rookie Josh Simmons on the left side of the offensive line, gradually building chemistry.
