After signing with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent, rookie defensive lineman TeRah Edwards didn’t take long to put together a memorable NFL highlight. And it featured a call from Chargers play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle that matched the excitement of the play.
In the fourth quarter of Saturday night’s preseason game between the Chargers and Los Angeles Rams, Edwards intercepted a pass from Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett. Edwards had a 27-yard return on the interception and capped it off by delivering a hit to Bennett on the runback.
“IT’S A BIG MAN INTERCEPTION! TERAH EDWARDS LOWERS THE SHOULDER! THE EARTH IS SHAKING! EDWARDS, TAKEAWAY! CHARGERS, IN BUSINESS!”

“IT’S A BIG MAN INTERCEPTION,” Eagle exclaimed on the CBS Los Angeles broadcast. “TERAH EDWARDS LOWERS THE SHOULDER! THE EARTH IS SHAKING! EDWARDS, TAKEAWAY! CHARGERS, IN BUSINESS!”
“A big man’s dream,” Chargers color commentator Dan Fouts responded. “6’2′, 305 pounds, and a little bit nasty at the end of this play! As he’s going to punish the passer!”
There are few more entertaining plays in football than a big man interception, and Edwards and Eagle each delivered with an outstanding preseason highlight.
