It finally happened: Michigan Panthers QB, and UFL MVP Bryce Perkins, is headed to the NFL. The Carolina Panthers have signed Perkins, reported on Sunday by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Bryce Perkins was, undoubtedly, one of the UFL’s top players in 2025. He won MVP (Most Valuable Player) for the 2025 season; alongside being named as the league’s Offensive Player of the Year. He was also named as the league’s All-UFL quarterback – earning the top three awards possible for quarterbacks and offensive players in this league.

Perkins threw for 1,342 yards and nine touchdowns this season, to just two interceptions on 69% completion. Bryce was also unstoppable on the ground, with 269 rushing yards and five scores in just seven games (six starts).

Michigan had Danny Etling splitting reps with Bryce for the first five games of the year. Whenever Bryce had the ball in his hands the whole time, though – great things happened. We saw what he was capable of in week six, in a 38-14 shellacking of the DC Defenders.

Bryce led the Michigan Panthers to their first ever win over the Birmingham Stallions in modern spring history – sending them to the UFL Championship. Perkins threw for 235 yards and a touchdown on 20/25 passing, alongside a rushing TD. In the Championship, he amassed 338 passing yards and three touchdowns as Michigan fell to DC, 58-34.

In typical UFL MVP fashion, Bryce now signs to the NFL – following in the footsteps of KaVontae Turpin (Cowboys), Alex McGough (Packers), and Adrian Martinez (Jets). Due to an injury to Andy Dalton in Carolina, Perkins makes his way to the Panthers…from the Panthers.

Without the national platform that the UFL provided him with, who knows if this would have been made possible. You can stay up to date on all UFL to NFL signings with our official tracker.
