The 2026 NFL Draft is months away, but the start of college football season is upon us. With that comes prospects getting their eyes on them, and for fans, it means they get to start learning who their team may draft.
The Bucs are coming off an NFL Draft where they were seemingly able to land several playmakers on both sides of the ball. Jason Licht had the offense built to withstand almost anything, and now the secondary has some extra pieces in Benjamin Morrison and Jacob Parrish. Yet, there are still some holes that the team needs to address.
Addressing those needs through a mock draft is the best thing we can do at this point. The latest mock draft we get to see before the start of the college season comes from draft analyst Todd McShay. He gave the Bucs some linebacker help, finally, in Ohio State’s Sonny Styles.
McShay writes up the pick, saying, “Styles has a great nose for the ball and made huge strides as a starter last season. He’s a very good run stopper, but what jumps out on tape is his athleticism and ability in coverage.”
Styles is coming off a breakout season for the Buckeyes, where he helped manage the middle of their National Championship-winning defense. He would be a fantastic addition to the middle of the Bucs defense, especially if they see Lavonte David ride off into the sunset this year.
