Former New England Patriots edge rusher Matthew Judon is expected to sign a one-year with the Miami Dolphins, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Judon was traded by the Patriots to the Atlanta Falcons last summer in exchange for the 77th overall pick in 2025 NFL draft. The veteran played in 17 games for the Falcons and racked up 5.5 sacks, five pass deflections and one interception in 15 starts on the year.

Judon is a former four-time Pro Bowler who had two big years in New England. He recorded 12.5 sacks in 2021 and a career-high 15.5 sacks in 2022.
A fan recently commented that the Patriots should bring Judon back, and the NFL star reposted the comment on his Instagram. That signals there are no hard feelings between the Patriots and Judon.
However, he will be on the enemy sidelines when New England goes head-to-head with the Dolphins this season.
