The Arizona Cardinals enter the final week of their preseason, so we naturally paying attention to that, but we still want to keep an eye on what is happening in the NFC West. The rival Los Angeles Rams had an important development on Monday.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford finally practiced.

He had yet to participate in any practices in training camp, which began neatly a month ago.
Stafford has been dealing with a bad back. He did a little bit of everything on Monday, suiting up in pads, taking snaps, throwing on the run and participating in 11-on-11.
Rams head coach Sean McVay didn’t say that Stafford was out of the woods with his back. They are still taking things “a day at a time.”
“”It was good to be able to have Matthew out there,” McVay said via Rams Wire. “He did a good job today. Thought he looked good, but I don’t really have any updates. I think there was a lot of intended information, but there’s no updates. We’re going to keep it a day, and really a week at a time. It was great to be able to see him out there today and we’ll see how this afternoon goes, and tomorrow.”

The Rams are the favorites to win the NFC West, but if Stafford isn’t healthy, that changes things. It will continue to be something to watch.
