The Seattle Seahawks will be in Green Bay this Thursday for a joint practice with the Packers. The Seahawks will then compete against the same opponent at Lambeau in Saturday’s preseason finale. With joint practice often being more telling than exhibition games, we’ve identified three Seattle players on offense who need a quality joint session.
WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling
Veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling has been losing influence with the coaching staff in recent weeks. Signed to be the WR3 behind Cooper Kupp and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Valdes-Scantling is being outperformed by rookie wideout Tory Horton, who has received first-team reps. MVS needs to regain ground against the Packers.

IOL Christian Haynes
Sophomore offensive lineman Christian Haynes appears to have lost a position battle at right guard to Anthony Bradford for a second straight offseason. The Seahawks have moved Haynes around this summer, even giving him reps at center. The former UConn standout needs to start regaining confidence.
OT Josh Jones
Josh Jones was signed to be the swing tackle behind Charles Cross and Abe Lucas. Cross underwent minor surgery on his finger earlier this offseason and has been occasionally limited at practice. Jones should receive a ton of reps versus the Packers’ strong group of pass rushers. The veteran lineman needs to hold his own.
