(WLUK) — The Green Bay Packers are giving their international fans something to celebrate.
Though the Packers are not playing any games overseas this season, Packers fans in Ireland, the U.K. and Germany can still experience the excitement and the camaraderie of football season with Packers Huddle events.
These fan events are planned in Dublin on Sept. 27, London on Oct. 11 and Berlin on Nov. 8-9. Each Saturday Huddle event precedes an international NFL game in each respective city on Sunday.
The Packers Huddle events will feature opportunities to meet and take photos with Packers legends, win prizes and enjoy a taste of Wisconsin, with fan-favorite foods inspired by a traditional Packers tailgate available for sampling. Fans can also expect live entertainment at each venue, with music, games and interviews. The Packers Huddles, which will each take place during the weekend leading up to a Packers game, will also provide fans with an opportunity to share their enthusiasm with other international Packers supporters and build excitement for the upcoming football games.
In April, the Packers were awarded marketing rights in Ireland, the United Kingdom and Germany, through the NFL’s Global Markets Program, allowing the organization to pursue specialized international marketing efforts including events and programming, targeted digital initiatives, specially curated content and other fan engagement opportunities.
