The Arizona Cardinals announced the signing of offensive lineman Dohnovan West on Wednesday.
The Cardinals also announced the release of wide receiver Kelly Akharaiyi.
West played in college at Arizona State from 2019-21 and started his career in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted rookie free agent.
When head coach Jonathan Gannon was asked to describe West, he used one word – big.
“He’s in there lifting and he’s strong. We’ll get him caught up to speed and get him going,” Gannon told reporters Wednesday.
He played the past two seasons in the UFL with the St. Louis Battlehawks, earning six starts in 10 games in 2025.
The Battlehawks will retain the rights to West should he return to the UFL.
He also played in the XFL with the Vegas Vipers in 2023.
He was Second Team All-Pac 12 in 2021.
Akharaiyi was signed on Aug. 12.
He played college football at Mississippi State and UTEP, catching 25 passes for 391 yards and two touchdowns last season with the Bulldogs.
He was originally signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent before spending two weeks with the Cardinals.
