The Jacksonville Jaguars announced a second roster move on Wednesday, re-signing wide receiver Darius Lassiter.

This move comes after the team waived wide receiver Josh Cephus with an injury designation earlier in the day.

Lassiter was released by the Jaguars on Tuesday–along with Eli Mostaert–to make room on the roster for offensive lineman Jerome Carvin and running back Kevin Harris.

Lassiter spent his final two college seasons at BYU. During that span, he was targeted 138 times and went over 1,000 yards. This includes a career-best 703 yards in this most recent season at an impressive 15.6 yards per reception with four scores, per PFF.

With Cephus no longer on the team, Lassiter adds to the receiver depth, and having been on the team all offseason after being signed as a UDFA following the NFL draft, he knows the scheme and can hit the ground running in Thursday’s joint practice and the preseason game that follows.
