Lamar Jackson didn’t finish his practice session with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday. Now, he missed practice. John Harbaugh, the team’s head coach, gave new updates on the quarterback’s status.

“They did a quick X-ray and there’s no damage or anything like that. I’m sure it’s a little sore today, so we just kept him in. But, he’s fine. He’s going to be good,” Harbaugh said. “It was a big relief,” Harbaugh said to Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “I told the guys, ‘Prayers do get answered.’ I was praying.” The quarterback won’t miss any time it seems.

Jackson is ready to roll as Week 1 approaches. He won’t suit up for the last preseason game, but that’s not because of this injury scare. Lamar hasn’t played in the NFL preseason in four years.

Harbaugh gave more to meet the eye with his words

The way Harbaugh spoke during the interviews lets you know he was scared. Usually a pro-player yet no non-sense personality, watch Harbaugh under stress with Jackson’s injury was a big indicator that the Ravens dodged a bullet on a serious injury.

Without Lamar, who is a two-time MVP, this team wouldn’t be able to contend in the NFL. Even if they have plenty of talent, Lamar Jackson is the name the rest of the league fears. Without Jackson, there are no Super Bowl expectations.
