The Cincinnati Bengals held their final practice of training camp on Thursday. Ahead of Saturday’s preseason finale, they had one last practice to help evaluate the roster ahead of final cuts.
There was some injury news, different players in new roles, and plenty to follow as the regular season approaches.
There was a brief scare when Tee Higgins had to be evaluated by trainers after getting tangled up on a play. Luckily, Higgins quickly returned to action and seems to be okay.
Oren Burks Works With Starters
It appears Al Golden has made a change to the linebacker room. Oren Burks replaced Demetrius Knight Jr. with the starting unit opposite Logan Wilson, as Knight is now dealing with an injury
After two rough outings from the defense this preseason, Burks could be in line to start in place of Knight in Week 1.
Lucas Patrick suffered an injury in the second week of the preseason and hasn’t returned to action yet. Rookie Jalen Rivers was working with the starters at right guard:
Defensive tackle B.J. Hill returned to full practice, taking snaps in 11-on-11 drills for the first time this training camp. Hill was dealing with an injury, but appears to be ramping up ahead of the September 7th opener.
Iosivas on Rehab Field; Tinsley with the 1’s:
Andrei Iosivas was working on the rehab field on Thursday, and after his coming-out party in preseason Week 2, Mitchell Tinsley was working with the starting offense during practice.
Burrow completes a pass to… Burrow
Joe Burrow wound down the most normal training camp of his career with a completion to himself (off a tipped pass) for a short gain and then throwing a deep touchdown to Isaiah Williams.
The next time we see the Bengals on the practice field, it will be preparing for the Cleveland Browns.
