In your opinion, what are the biggest questions that need to be answered in the last preseason game? – Cynthia Wright, Dallas, TX

Nick: Is it possible the biggest question centers around a scenario you hope never even matters? The Cowboys would prefer the backup quarterback never even get on the field, except for late-game situations with a big lead. But with this team, just getting wins is going to be hard enough, especially blowout wins. So it’s safe to say the Cowboys are hoping Dak Prescott takes just about every snap possible.

By saying that, you still need to know who the backup quarterback is and after two games, Joe Milton just doesn’t seem ready to be that guy, especially considering Dak’s injury history lately.

The interesting part is Will Grier because yes, the cowboys and Brian Schottenheimer probably feel like they have a good idea what he can do, but it’s not like he’s played a lot of snaps either. So if Milton doesn’t give you any more confidence after this game, then I’m not sure how they can just automatically lean on Grier as the backup. So that means maybe someone else is in the works to be added to this team as the No. 2. One way or another there’s a lot of questions to answer at the quarterback position.
