With the start of the regular season rapidly approaching, it’s the perfect time for fantasy football leagues to hold their drafts. The Los Angeles Rams have the potential to be one of the best offensive teams in the NFL this season, which means there are several good targets in fantasy football, particularly near the top of the draft.

Even with Matthew Stafford’s back injury still lingering, there’s plenty of reason for optimism about the Rams’ offense. Davante Adams gives them another playmaker on the outside, Kyren Williams remains a touchdown machine and Puka Nacua is healthy after missing time with a knee injury last season.

So which Rams players should you consider drafting in fantasy? Here are five targets to consider. (ADP: average draft position, via Fantasy Pros)

5. Rams D/ST

ADP: 232 (No. 24 D/ST)

While not technically a player, the Rams defense/special teams could be one of the top units in fantasy this year. They had 16 sacks against the Vikings and Eagles in the playoffs last season, which shows the type of potential this pass rush possesses.

And while they may not be full of ball hawks in the secondary, they still had 13 interceptions last season. They also forced 13 fumbles and only recovered seven of them, so they could be in for a positive regression there – especially with Nate Landman and his “Peanut Punch” skills coming aboard.

4. Tutu Atwell, WR

ADP: 308 (No. 99 WR)

If there were ever a year for Atwell to finally break out, it’s now. He’s penciled in as the No. 3 receiver and though Jordan Whittington could eat into his snaps, he’s never had such a golden opportunity to make plays like he will this year.

The benefit with Atwell is he’s a big-play weapon who doesn’t need a high volume of targets to put up fantasy points – especially in half-PPR or no-PPR leagues. He can catch three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown, making the most of what could be limited targets by racking up yards in bunches.

The Rams want to be more explosive on offense this season, too, so that could involve more downfield shots to Atwell.

3. Puka Nacua, WR

ADP: 9 (No. 6 WR)

Nacua has the highest ADP of any player on this list, which shouldn’t be a surprise. He’s one of the top wide receivers in the NFL and he finished as the No. 5 wide receiver in fantasy points as a rookie in 2023 and 33rd last season despite only playing 11 games.

Assuming he can stay healthy for the entire season, he should once again be one of the highest-scoring wide receivers, even with Adams in the mix. Nacua is a high-volume receiver who could still be Stafford’s favorite target. And when he has the ball in his hands, he often picks up big yards after the catch, whether it’s on a screen pass or drag route.

The price is high and you’ll most likely need to take him in the first round, but Nacua should be in for another big year, health provided.

2. Kyren Williams, RB

ADP: 27 (No. 10 RB)

Williams’ ADP makes him the No. 10 running back in fantasy but he should probably be going even earlier than that. In 2023, he finished as RB4 in total points and he was RB6 last season, even with sitting out the final game.

Fresh off signing a $33 million extension, it’s clear the Rams are committed to Williams. It’s reasonable to think Blake Corum and Jarquez Hunter could eat into his carries if Los Angeles wants to (finally) limit his workload, but he’s still going to be the goal line back, giving him ample touchdown opportunities.

Plus, he worked on his speed and explosiveness this offseason. After creating very few big plays last season, he may be in for an improvement in that department.

1. Davante Adams, WR

ADP: 44 (No. 15 WR)

Adams is getting drafted around the fourth round right now as the No. 15 wide receiver. Yes, he’s coming off two seasons where his numbers were below his usual standards, but he still scored eight touchdowns in each year and had over 2,000 total receiving yards.

Since 2016, he’s only finished lower than WR14 once, and that was in 2019 when he only played 12 games. He’s durable and still has plenty of juice at this stage in his career, and he’s now in a receiver-friendly offense with a great quarterback in Stafford.

Plus, with Cooper Kupp gone, Adams should become the go-to receiver in the red zone – an area Nacua has never had much success. Adams certainly has the potential to be a top-10 receiver in fantasy this year.
