Another NFL insider has connected the Green Bay Packers to a potential trade for Dallas Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons.
On SportsCenter on Friday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN said the Cowboys have received “multiple trade inquiries” for Parsons and it would take a “Herculean, Hershell Walker-sized offer” to trade him. However, if the Cowboys — who remain optimistic that they will get a deal done — were to end up deciding to trade Parsons, Fowler mentioned the Packers first among teams that would be interested.

“If they were to entertain a trade, there would be interest. Teams that make sense to me, at least, on the radar would be the Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, even some teams in Dallas’ own division, but it looks like Dallas doesn’t want to go that route,” Fowler said.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network recently reported the Packers would be “really interested” in trading for Parsons if the option became available. Fowler appears to be hearing something similar.
Here’s Fowler’s full segment on ESPN:
Any possibility of the Packers trading for Parsons has to first start with the Cowboys opening the door to a deal. And, at this point, that door remains closed.

Parsons, a four-time Pro Bowler who has 52.5 career sacks in just four seasons, is not participating at training camp. He is about to enter the final year of his rookie deal in 2025, and the Cowboys appear content with letting him play out his final year and then using back-to-back franchise tags if necessary — essentially keeping him under team control for the next three seasons. Parsons almost certainly wants to be the highest-paid defensive player in history.
The roadblocks for the Packers making a deal would be the incredible trade compensation necessary to get Parsons out of Dallas and then agreeing to give Parsons a market-resetting contract with massive guarantees and total money.
The Cowboys open the season on Sept. 4 against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. Time is running out on Parsons and the Cowboys getting a deal done before the regular season begins.
