The Kansas City Chiefs are warming up ahead of their preseason finale against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium tonight, and one member of the away team’s coaching staff got some extra attention from the defending AFC champions during pregame warmups.

Former Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who helped Kansas City win Super Bowls LIV and LVII in 2020 and 2023, was spotted embracing veteran tight end Travis Kelce, who played under the former Colorado Buffalo for the majority of his professional career.

Take a look at this video of Bieniemy’s brief connection with Kelce, which was posted to Twitter by the Chiefs’ official account:

Now Chicago’s running backs coach, Bieniemy was widely regarded as one of the most important members of Kansas City’s coaching staff during his time with the Chiefs, and was considered to be a top head coach candidate when his tenure in Western Missouri ended after the 2022 season.

Stay tuned to see if Bieniemy will be able to knock off his former team in Friday’s game, or if the Chiefs will prove to be too much for the upstart Bears to handle.
