As many of you know, Mile High Report got an updated look and field. One of the biggest changes was the rebranding of the FanPosts section. That is now under The Feed area. I’ve been using it heavily for quick-hit updates for things I don’t have time to write up a whole story on, but I think other fans might be interested in discussing.

When I first found MHR, the year was 2007 and the FanPosts back then were called Diaries. Having been around for all the versions of this fan-driven area, I truly believe The Feed has a chance to become far superior in every way.

The main issue with The Feed at launch, I think, was the lack of functionality compared to the old FanPost section. I love that it is more prevalent on the home page and isn’t hidden anymore, but that lack of general functionality was a huge concern. That was something I voiced immediately and the SB Nation team released an update last week that, I feel, addresses most of my concerns.

You can still use the quick post function that pops out and allows you to drop in a post, but for longer form content I would recommend bookmarking the stand-alone post page: https://www.milehighreport.com/post/new

As an old timer from the way back, I’ve always loved the concept of FanPosts. I use Diaries extensively and was on staff by the time FanPosts became a thing. I didn’t use that at all as a member of the staff because the functionality, frankly, was clunky compared to the system I used as a staff writer. The Feed, however, is 10x easier to use, so you will see me a lot more over there.

Anyway, quick performative update before the last preseason game and the cut down mania that will ensue over the next several days.
