Saints linebacker Demario Davis on what Armstead meant to the Saints:

“When I think of the player and man that Terron Armstead meant to me, to our team, to our city, I have nothing but high praise and regard for him. He was an unbelievable player, an anchor to our team, a captain that we knew as far as the offensive line went it was in good hands as long as he was on the field with that unit. He was someone that you could count on game-in and game-out. He was a steadying force. I think as a teammate the first thing you want from a teammate is that they give you everything that they have and are consistent and dependable. He was that every day, not only on our team, but he was one of the best players in the NFL. However, I think it goes without saying that he’s an even greater man. He is a brother, someone that is going to connect with you off the field, his house is always open. If as a teammate you ever needed anything, he would be the first one to go above and beyond to make sure that the need is filled. In the community, his different initiatives in helping youth in the city and in his hometown with education and afterschool programs, it speaks to the type of person he is. He is going to give his best in everything he does. I wish him well as he steps into the next chapter of his life. If it is anything like it has been in the past, it is going to be magnificent and many people are going to be blessed by it.”

Saints running back Alvin Kamara on what Armstead meant to him:

“TA, I owe a lot to you brother. I don’t wanna make this too long but thank you for playing a part in helping me become what I am today. Teammate would be a disrespectful term to use in describing you. I view you as family and I’m proud of what you’ve accomplished in your career. You always said you’ll know for sure when it’s time so I know you’re walking away with joy in your heart knowing you gave everything you had. Excited to see what’s going on next! Love you forever.”

Saints center/guard Erik McCoy on Armstead’s impact:

“When I think of Terron Armstead, I think of somebody who was the consummate professional. Someone who came in day-in, day-out and put in the work and that made him a freaking dog. Whether that is getting extra bag work in, watching extra film or coaching up the young guys. He pushed each and every one of us to become Pro Bowl, All-Pro, second contract guys. I know that he touched the lives of a lot of guys in the NFL, for sure me, Cesar Ruiz, Andrus Peat. We are all guys that came up under his wing and leadership. He pushed us to be the players that we are today. So speaking from my personal experience, I will be forever grateful to him, because without him in the room for those first three years, I don’t know what my career would be like, because he played a large part in teaching me how to be a professional and how to be a top player at the position. Terron, thank you. I know in this next chapter of this life, you are going to do the same things you did as a player; you are going to thrive and you are going to be elite.”
