The Lions lost their first preseason game to the Los Angeles Chargers, 34-7, in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. The Lions’ second preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons was suspended in the fourth quarter, with the Lions leading 17-10, after safety Morice Norris left the field in an ambulance following a frightening head injury.
In their third preseason game, the Lions lost, 24-17, when quarterback Hendon Hooker threw an interception on an incredible defensive play from the Dolphins when the Lions were driving to tie the game.
