Terrance Ferguson made his presence known early in his NFL debut for the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday in a preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.
The 2025 second-round rookie out of Oregon caught a huge 33-yard reception from quarterback Dresser Winn late in the second quarter. He added another 15-yard reception later in the drive.

Here’s Ferguson’s first NFL reception:
The Rams traded back from No. 26 to No. 46 and took Ferguson with their first pick of the draft. He missed a lot of training camp with an injury and hadn’t suited up for a preseason game until Saturday’s match with the Browns.
The drive ended with a one-yard touchdown pass from Winn to Stoops.
The 6-foot-6 rookie caught 43 receptions for 591 yards and three touchdowns for Oregon in 2024 from none other than Browns backup quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who the Rams faced Saturday.
Ferguson could earn a big early role with L.A. behind starting tight end Tyler Higbee. The Rams haven’t seen success from their backups at that position and may want to incorporate Ferguson quickly to get him up to speed as the eventual starting replacement for Higbee.
