Parsons himself noticed and appreciated the context. “The way media shapes perception and narratives is wild,” he replied. “If he hadn’t said anything, everyone would’ve just run with it. I’d never disrespect the guys out there fighting for their lives.”

Inside the locker room, though, Micah Parsons’ teammates quickly had his back. Trevon Diggs told CBS Sportsthat Parsons’ absence from practice had more to do with his health than his attitude. “I don’t know, his back is kind of tight. He had to get an MRI today,” Diggs said. “It depends on how his back feels. I know he was really sore this morning. He went to get it checked out, so that’s the last thing I heard from him.”
That detail matters. Parsons hasn’t been practicing while dealing with back soreness, and now there’s even more uncertainty about his availability for Week 1 against the Eagles. Add in his unresolved contract and trade request, and his status remains a huge question mark.
