The college football season is finally here.

Week Zero kicks off the 2025 season with five games before the season begins in earnest Thursday when Week 1 commences.

The first game between Iowa State and Kansas State certainly didn’t disappoint, even if it started off a little sloppy. The teams combined for four fumbles in an ugly first half before they both found traction offensively in the second half. In the end, a clutch fourth-down conversion on a pass from ISU’s Rocco Becht to Carson Hansen put the game on ice in a 24-21 Cyclones win.

UNLV survived a scare in Dan Mullen’s debut at home against FCS Idaho State. The Rebels were in trouble in the second half before rallying late to put away the Bengals, 38-31. UNLV RB Jai’Den Thomas carried the Rebels with 147 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries.

Here’s a quick look at the best games left on a light Saturday. (Scroll for live updates.)

It was a disappointing 2024 season for KU. QB Jalon Daniels is back after a rough season that saw him throw just two fewer interceptions than touchdown passes. EJ Warner, the son of Kurt Warner, will start for Fresno State. The Bulldogs are coached by former North Dakota State head coach Matt Entz.

A win will go a long way toward bowl eligibility for Hawaii and head coach Timmy Chang. The former Hawaii QB is in his fourth season with the program and looking for his first season with a bowl game. Stanford has gone 3-9 in each of the past four seasons. The Cardinal will be coached by Frank Reich in 2025 after Troy Taylor’s firing.
