Just like that, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2025 preseason is now behind us. Next up for the Jaguars and the rest of the NFL are roster cuts, with each team needing to have thier 53-man rosters set by Tuesday afternoon.

However, before we look ahead and begin making our predictions, let’s take a look back at the Jaguars’ performance against Miami.

This was a game where the Jaguars rested their starters, and many of the backups either didn’t play or had short nights. However, despite that being the case, the Jaguars’ defense was able to give the Miami starting offense fits early on.

Through the Dolphins’ first two offensive possessions, which featured their starters, the Jaguars’ third-string defense forced a pair of three-and-outs with two sacks. Miami totaled just six yards on those possessions. It wasn’t until a few minutes into the second quarter that Miami was able to score.

“Competed really well,” Liam Coen said after the game. “Made it hard on ’em early on and really made it hard on them to move it all night.”

The Jaguars’ offense would struggle to get anything going, but a few players who were able to stand out and perhaps make a final roster push were Austin Trammell and Quintin Morris.

Defensively, BJ Green and Danny Striggow each made a strong case for the final roster spot at defensive end. As a team, the Jaguars would force six sacks.

Cam Little, as he does, provided a steady presence at kicker, making both his attempts, including a 59-yarder.
