The NFC West is always competitive and that’s likely to remain the case in 2025 with all four teams looking like potential playoff contenders. The Los Angeles Rams are the defending champions and there’s little question they got better this offseason.

The Cardinals had a strong draft, the Seahawks added Sam Darnold and Cooper Kupp, and the 49ers are, well, the 49ers.

So, which team will come out on top in 2025? FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd made his predictions for each division in the NFL, along with wild-card teams in the playoff field, and he has the Rams repeating as NFC West champions.

He believes the Seahawks will finish second and make the playoffs, with the Cardinals being the third-place team. That leaves the 49ers in the basement of the West for the second straight season.

“Yeah, you can see it. I think the Rams are going to win it,” he said.

Cowherd said he believes “Seattle had the best draft in the NFL” and that the Cardinals and Browns were tied for the second-best, so he’s high on both teams heading into 2025. He thinks the Cardinals’ defense is “going to be a handful.”

As for the 49ers, Cowherd didn’t like their draft and doesn’t believe they’re a playoff team.

“I didn’t like the Niners’ draft at all. I’m not saying they’re a five-win team, but I think Arizona can win 10-11 games,” Cowherd said.

He didn’t predict playoff matchups or who will win the Super Bowl, but he clearly thinks highly of the Rams as the defending champions.
