A video of some male NFL cheerleaders in the bathroom with some female NFL cheerleaders has sparked controversy on social media.

There will be more than 10 NFL teams with male cheerleaders this year. Roughly one third of the league will feature male cheerleaders in 2025. While some notable teams, like the Dallas Cowboys, will not have male cheerleaders, many other NFL teams will in 2025. The Minnesota Vikings are one of them.

The video sparks controversy on social media

The video, posted by Brianna Putney, featured another female cheerleader, Jenna Brensonn, sharing a bathroom with two male cheerleaders, Blaize Shiek and Louie Conn.

“Unacceptable,” one fan wrote.

“And you wonder why we men no longer support the NFL?” one fan added.

“It’s not really an outcry, it’s more of a giant eyeroll and we know what they’re doing it’s just disrespectful to women, that’s all,” one fan added.

Others, meanwhile, don’t see the big issue.

“Just stop! There’ve always been male cheerleaders and some were even gay!” one fan wrote.

“People need to stop. This is not the same as men playing in women’s sports of volleyball,” one fan added.

“I really don’t see the big deal,” one fan added.

Male cheerleaders have always been around, especially at the high school and college football level, but it’s becoming more of a trend in the National Football League, too.
