The New Orleans Saints selected offensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr. from Texas with the ninth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

Kelvin Banks Jr., a 6-foot-5, 315-pound junior from Humble, Texas, was one of the most decorated offensive linemen in the country during his three-year run with the Longhorns. A consensus five-star recruit out of high school, Banks started all 42 games of his college career at left tackle and was a cornerstone of a Texas offensive line that powered the program to the College Football Playoff in 2024. That season, he won the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy, was named a First-Team AP All-American, and shared the Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the SEC’s top lineman. Banks allowed just one sack in each of his last two seasons and anchored one of the top pass-blocking units in the country.
