What’s in store for the Packers as preseason comes to a close?
Pete Dougherty joins Dominique Yates to talk the state of the Packers after they close preseason with a 20-7 win over the Seahawks.
The Green Bay Packers have reportedly acquired a backup offensive lineman from the Philadelphia Eagles.Â
They have traded a 2027 sixth-round draft pick for Darian Kinnard, according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Kinnard was a fifth-round draft pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022 and played as a backup at right guard and right tackle for the Eagles in the preseason.Â
The deal is an indication of just how concerned the Packers are about their offensive line depth. Kinnard has played in only three games and has only 71 snaps on offense in the NFL. Yet, the trade means Packers see him as an upgrade for their offensive line depth.Â
Kinnard spent his rookie season with the Chiefs and played one game that year. He spent 2023 on the Chiefs’ practice squad, and then last season as a backup lineman for Eagles. So for his first three seasons in the NFL he was with the team that won the Super Bowl. Â
