2. Staying on the topic of quarterbacks, Callahan said Lions quarterback Jared Goff is playing the position as well as anyone in the league right now.
“Just in terms of efficiency and finding completions,” he said of Goff. “It feels like every game I look up he’s got like four incompletions. They’ve done a great job of finding their playmakers. He deals the ball. Jared, I think, is an underrated quarterback. He is probably playing the position as good as anybody in football right now and a large reason why they are 5-1.”
Tennessee will try to limit Goff and the Lions’ passing game with the No. 1 total defense in football and the No. 3 passing defense through six games.
3. “Yeah, I mean it’s a tremendous challenge,” linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr. said about going on the road to Detroit and facing the Lions’ No. 2 ranked offense. “They’ve played some really good football this season. So, it’s going to be critical for us to hone in on our game plan, really lock in onto what we see on tape, and just go out there and play a detailed, complete football game.”
