With NFL roster cuts on deck this week, we’ll soon have 53-man rosters and official depth charts finalized ahead of Week 1. The regular season is 10 days away, and every league doing a late fantasy football draft will be seeking sleepers at each position leading up to the season opener on Sept. 4.

This week, we’ll be releasing our list of sleepers at tight end, quarterback, wide receiver and running back. Before we jump into today’s tight end list, we have to give a qualifier on the term “sleeper.” For our purposes, a “sleeper” is a player we believe has a chance to significantly outperform their average draft position (ADP), making them a potential steal.

With that kind of definition, some “sleepers” could be well-known players — they’re just being drafted lower than they should be and could end up being steals at their ADP. With that context in mind, here’s a look at our five sleeper tight ends for the 2025 NFL season.

Fantasy Football Sleeper Tight Ends

1. Evan Engram (ADP 91): Yes, he has an injury history, but Engram could serve as Bo Nix’s second-favorite target this season behind Courtland Sutton. Engram is just two years removed from a 143-target season with the Jags, and if he takes on the role we expect him to, he could end up being the biggest steal among TEs in fantasy this season.

2. Colston Loveland (ADP 114): Loveland was the 10th overall pick in April’s draft for a reason, and he’s joining a Bears offense with unproven receiving options outside of DJ Moore (although there’s plenty of potential in Rome Odunze and Luther Burden). Similar to Engram, Loveland has a chance to emerge as one of the top receiving threats in his offense.

3. Kyle Pitts (ADP 137): Yes, I know. Fool me once… but at this point in the draft, Pitts is a potential value pick even if he doesn’t have a big breakout season. Pitts finished as TE12 in standard formats last fall and he’s being drafted as TE17 this summer. He’s a good value at his current ADP.

4. Zach Ertz (ADP 155): Ertz was a reliable target for the Commanders last fall, finishing as TE7 in point-per-reception formats. He figures to remain one of Jayden Daniels’ favorite targets in 2025 and after scoring seven touchdowns in 2024, Ertz could be a steal again this season.

5. Isaiah Likely (ADP 173): Mark Andrews is entering the final year of his contract, and it will probably be his final year with the Ravens. Likely obviously has great long-term value in dynasty leagues, but he could also prove to be a good value in re-draft leagues if Baltimore continues to transition away from Andrews. Likely is the future, and after scoring six times in 2024, he could be on the verge of a breakout season.
