Those competing for a spot on the initial 53-man roster received one last chance when the Patriots took the practice fields at Gillette Stadium on Monday.
It marked the final day of the evaluation process with Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf, executive vice president Ryan Cowden and head coach Mike Vrabel need to trim down the roster to 53 players by Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.
New England started trimming the group when it released a handful of players Friday. Offensive lineman Layden Robinson, who was set to enter his second season with the Patriots, was released Sunday. Wolf and company still need to release approximately two dozen players before Tuesday afternoon.
