There is finally some resolution in the standoff between the Cincinnati Bengals and Trey Hendrickson. After months of back and forth, the two sides agreed to essentially a band-aid solution to get Hendrickson back on the field for 2025.

Hendrickson gets a big raise for this season and the ability to cash in on the open market after next season.

So essentially, the Bengals get a top pass rusher back in the fold, motivated to get a new contract next season and the ability to franchise tag him next spring if they choose to.

As always with big Bengals news, Twitter reacted to the revised contract:

As always, there are mixed reactions to the news, but in the end, the Bengals get it done for now and can focus on football the rest of the way.

Hendrickson said he would not play on his old contract, and he now won’t.
