New York Giants nose tackle Dexter Lawrence has been named one of the NFL’s very best, as voted on by his peers.
Lawrence made his second consecutive top-25 appearance on the NFL’s Top 100 Players list, checking in at No. 17 ahead of the 2025 regular season. He also becomes the Giants’ all-time highest-ranked player on the list.
“My goodness gracious,” former New Orleans Saints running back Jamaal Williams said. “It’s just a nightmare. It’s just a big blob of nightmare.

“Don’t even look at the A gaps. Duo, don’t run it. Nine out of 10 times (he’s) in the back field. That one time it’s probably because he’s just tired.”
Lawrence not only drew praise from Williams but also from former teammates Xavier McKinney, Julian Love, and Leonard Williams.
“The dude is massive,” McKinney said. “He’s one of the biggest dudes you’ll see, and he can move like a DB. It’s crazy.”
There was also a shout-out from long-time Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson.
“I lined (up) against him one time. He lined up at linebacker,” Johnson said. “It felt like I had a S.W.A.T. team door hit me in the chest. He kind of does what he wants when he wants.”

Williams argued that Lawrence deserves to be in the top-5, and had he not missed time due to injury in 2024, he might have been.
