Two former Nittany Lion defensive backs are set to search for a new NFL team.

The Buffalo Bills are reportedly planning to waive cornerback Daequan Hardy, per Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News. The Green Bay Packers reportedly released Kalen King, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

Hardy was a sixth-round pick by the Bills last year, spending the 2024 season on the practice squad. Hardy has yet to appear in a game. Hewas in Happy Valley from 2019-23, playing in 48 games. He tallied 40 tackles and five interceptions during his time as a Nittany Lion.

King was a seventh-round pick by Green Bay in 2024. He’s mostly been on the Packers’ practice squad since entering the league.

Schneidman reported the Packers want King back on their practice squad, but King will have to clear waivers first.

At Penn State, King appeared in 38 games, tallying 82 tackles, 25 pass break ups and three interceptions.
