The Indianapolis Colts will reportedly work out veteran cornerback Mike Hilton on Wednesday, according to Jordan Schultz.
Schultz would add that there is mutual interest between both sides in getting a deal done.

Hilton had spent the last four seasons playing in Cincinnati under now-Colts‘ defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. So there is certainly a familiarity on Anarumo’s part in how to best utilize Hilton, while Hilton is familiar with the scheme.
A nickel cornerback, Hilton has allowed a career completion rate of 70% over his eight NFL seasons, giving up just 9.9 yards per catch with 13 interceptions and 32 pass breakups, according to PFF.
He spent training camp with the Miami Dolphins before recently being released.
How Hilton would fit in the Colts’ crowded cornerback room remains to be seen. He could back up Kenny Moore in the slot–although the Colts just traded for Mekhi Blackmon–and provide a versatile presence with his ability to play in the box during obvious passing situations.

Adding Hilton to the 53-man roster would mean releasing someone as a corresponding move. Perhaps the practice squad could be an option as well.
