The Tennessee Titans have become the latest professional sports team to bring ultra-low latency audio to fans at Nissan Stadium, using ProWire’s technology to stream Titans Radio and PA audio directly to mobile devices with no delay. The solution, integrated into the team’s mobile app, also includes live captioning for accessibility.
Powered by ProWire EDGE, the cloud-based platform delivers real-time audio over cellular networks or stadium WiFi. “We’re excited to partner with the Titans to bring real-time audio and accessibility offerings to fans at Nissan Stadium,” said ProWire CEO Gordon Sumner. Titans SVP of Technology and Innovation Andrew McIntyre added that fans can now hear Taylor Zarzour and Coach Mac call the game as the action unfolds.
The Titans Radio Network is based at Cumulus Media sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX Nashville.
The Titans follow the MLB’s Washington Nationals and Kansas City Royals, who have also incorporated the technology into fans’ in-game experience. ProWire is also being used across select NHL teams and has long been integrated into the official NHL app.
The Titans plan to expand ProWire’s coverage to additional events at Nissan Stadium throughout the season.
